Pitch

"To have butterflies in the stomach."

Note of intent

The main aim of this video is to illustrate the expression “butterflies in stomach”, which exists in several languages,
as English, French and German, and to illustrate it in a literal way by showing a butterfly colony aiming at restore love on Earth, feeling which tend to disappears in complicated times, but which is essential and must not be forgotten. Butterflies are violent in their behavior, like when the Harpoon-Rocket comes out, because love often hurts, and we have to deal with it.
Furthermore, this idiom is shared in different languages, that shows that love is universal and this story can be understand beyond language’s borders. To conclude this note of intent, the Harpoon-Rocket may look like a penis for some people, while others see a simple rocket. I leave the audience making their own interpretation, is this a platonic love between two persons, or is it a metaphor to symbolize physical relation? I have my answer, and you can choose yours.

Synopsis

Butterflies live and work inside the guts of a young boy. Their work nearly finished, a postman-butterfly twirls in the arteries toward the heart to inform the Butterfly king that the rocket is ready. The Monarch orders to get ready for takeoff and calls the pilote, who was in his room, watching a TV show in which a boy with a cap named Will doesn’t manage to express his feelings toward a blue-haired girl named Cléo. The pilote, after receiving the call, leaves his room and the heart to fly to the stomach to take his seat inside the rocket. The Rocket locked its target on a yellow-haired girl named
Eva, and at this moment, the Monarch fires.

The Rocket flies out from Will’s stomach as he was leaving school, and run at full speed across the city’s building toward Eva, when suddenly, the Pilote slows down and changes his target, to fly back to Cléo. The rocket rams her in her bedroom.

Cléo gets up and is drawn by the Rocket’s chain. She is now running across the city and collides with Will, who helps her getting up after her fall. They end together.
